Ministry setting

Pastor Steve graduated from Waterloo Lutheran Seminary in June 2012, and was ordained on July 6, 2012. He began serving as pastor of St. Mark’s on June 1, 2012.

Pastor Steve in addition to serving the Kingston community as the Lutheran Pastor, Steve is also the ELCIC representative for the Church Council on Justice and corrections, he is the Vice-Chair Person of the Board of Governor’s for Martin Luther University College, and he is the Dean of the Seaway Ministry Area in the Eastern Synod.

What brings you joy in your ministry?

Identifying the grace of God present in people's lives and helping to tear down the walls that bind them from experiencing it.

Who inspires you in ministry or seminary?

Those who do the rubber hits the road ministry of sacrificial love.

What are your interests outside of ministry?

I love to cook, entertain friends, and love a good movie.

Best meal you've ever eaten?

I've eaten too many to even attempt a list.

Did you always want to be clergy?

This is a second career for me, I wish I would have heard the call sooner.
