- Seattle, WA
I am the Coordinator of Intergenerational Ministries at Central Lutheran Church in Seattle Washington. Living in the Gayberhood known as Capitol Hill my job includes outreach, faith development and volunteer coordinating. After a year and a half of ministry I like to describe myself as the information kiosk of Central.
What brings you joy in your ministry?
What brings me the most joy is connecting with congregational members on a personal level. Building intentional and meaningful relationships is something I feel called to do and am very thankful that Central is a place I can truly be my whole self and know that I am loved. Our catchphrase is, "Love is Central!"
Who inspires you in ministry or seminary?
What are your interests outside of ministry?
Musicals and sparkles. I also like nature.
Best meal you've ever eaten?
Every meal my mother ever cooked for me. (Yes I'm a mama's boy!)
As an Army Brat and a Pastor's Kid I've grown up in the Midwest, East Coast and Europe. I'm giving the Pacific Northwest a go! I attended Augsburg College between 2003 and 2010. Taking a detour with the ELCA's Young Adults in Global Mission at 19 I did ministry in an ex-coal mining town on the NE coast of England for a year. I also spent a year as a full-time canvasser for political non-profits, aka I knocked on doors and asked for money from strangers. I eventually graduated with a degree in Youth and Family Ministry after the mentioned adventures before moving to my current location in 2010.
